Victim vs. Creator: Who Are You Being?

Create, Explore, Reinvent

Hit the rewind button to three years ago, when I was stuffed in a car for thirty hours on the way home from our last stop in Denver. It had been eight weeks since I’d lived a normal life and returning home felt like a cage.

I remember watching the tiny beads of rain cling to the windshield and feeling their pain as they were ripped away by the wind.

Outside, miles of flat farmland swept by.

Somewhere on the horizon of Missouri, with legs folded on the seat and journal pressed against my thighs, my hair stood on end and my heart sank into my stomach.

What was waiting for me at home—the debt, the heartbreak, the soul-sucking job, the illness and despair, the lack of real personal growth and forward momentum…

I created it.
I was responsible for all of it.

No matter how much I wanted to blame my parents, my upbringing, other people, time—I was shaken to the core that there was only ME to blame.

What a divine catastrophy.
A massive shift in reality.
A realization so HUGE that my world turned upside down and I was forced to integrate a new frequency that would change my life forever.

That day, being stuffed in the car hurtling towards home at 80 miles per hour, I made a decision to come back as someone else. A decision to create something better for myself.

Although I felt like I was coming back to a bottom, I had a chance to turn it around. After all, there’s always a chance. But that chance can’t succeed until we take full responsibility as the powerful creators of our lives.

Traveling clear across America for me, was discovering this truth and clawing my way out of the hole. It was the first time in my life that I DID something that I really wanted to do. It was the first time in my life that I created something that I really WANTED to create.

It was in this creation that I found my power.
The people I met, the experiences I had, and the lessons I learned served to elevate me; to lift me up as my own savior and into the driver’s seat of my life.

Without this experience, I wouldn’t have found Truth.

The truth that the first step always starts with you. With taking responsibility to create something different.

So let me ask you: What do you want to create this year? What do you truly desire to manifest? What will you need to do differently in order to get there? And how will you step around the blocks, the resistance, and the fear?

Today, I want to bless with you some gifts to help you get there.
